Inside the coating workflow

From preparation to
the finished surface.

Selected stainless steel jewelry styles follow a structured PVD gold plating workflow at Miduoduo. Fixtures, cleaning, drying, chamber loading, coating, and inspection each have a place in the process.

Follow the six stages below for a closer look at our factory workflow, supported by our own production photographs and video.

01 / PREPARATION

Fixture Selection & Hanging Preparation

The process begins with selecting suitable fixtures according to the product structure. Pieces are organized and mounted before moving into the cleaning stage.

Different jewelry designs require different hanging arrangements, so preparation follows the structure of the selected product.

02 / SURFACE CLEANING

Ultrasonic Cleaning

After hanging, the jewelry enters the ultrasonic cleaning stage. Surface residues are removed before the products proceed to drying and pre-plating inspection.

This preparation stage comes before the pieces enter the vacuum coating area.

03 / DRYING & PRE-CHECK

Drying & Pre-Plating Inspection

Once cleaning is completed, the products are dried and checked before plating. Qualified pieces are transferred to the waiting area for vacuum coating.

The photograph shows the drying stage; inspection is a separate step in the workflow.

04 / VACUUM COATING

Vacuum PVD Gold Plating

Qualified products are transferred to the vacuum coating area and arranged according to structure. The operator loads the prepared pieces, sets the required parameters, and starts the coating cycle.

The specific coating arrangement is determined for the selected product and finish requirements.

05 / FINISHED SURFACE

Gold-Tone Finish & Unloading

During vacuum coating, the jewelry surface receives the selected finish. After the cycle, the coated pieces are unloaded and move toward the post-plating inspection stage.

The production photographs show the gold-tone appearance of pieces on their racks after coating.
